What does Eco-Wave mean?
WaveMe is a small family business established in 2024.
As a new fashion brand coming to the market who promotes the great outdoors, vanlife and beachlife, we realise the importance of sustainability and protecting everything we love.
We created the Eco-Wave collection for adults and our Mini-Wavers to help reduce the impact fashion has on our people and the environment.
The fashion industry has a significant impact on our planet, with various stages of the clothing lifecycle contributing to environmental degradation.
From the production processes that consume large amounts of water, chemicals, and energy to the transportation of materials across the globe, to the disposal of vast quantities of textile waste in landfills, the industry’s footprint is extensive. Fast fashion trends further exacerbate these effects by promoting rapid turnover of garments, fostering a culture of overconsumption and waste.
Efforts are being made towards sustainability in fashion, with eco-conscious brands and initiatives emerging to address issues like resource depletion, pollution, and unethical labor practices.
As consumers become more environmentally aware, there is a growing demand for transparency and accountability in the fashion supply chain to drive positive change for our planet.
The Eco-Wave Collection will only use environmentally friendly materials which do not compromise on the style, comfort and durability.
WaveMe uses recycled materials and organic cotton in our Eco-Wave Collection. The Eco-Wave collection is also certified by the Fairwear Foundation and Oeko-Tex.
What is The Fairwear Foundation?
The Fairwear Foundation is a non-profit organisation dedicated to improving working conditions in the garment and textile industry.
